The first domestic GTE-170.1 high-power gas turbine developed with the support of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has been installed in the permanent position at Kashirskaya GRES. The project of a high-power power turbine is the first one in Russia which has received the status of innovative power equipment.
The modernization of Kashirskaya GRES includes a complex upgrade of the equipment using both domestic developments and modern technology solutions. Implementation of these projects will improve the performance efficiency of the power plant and ensure reliable energy supply to the consumers.
Currently, the key stage of the construction – turbine installation on the foundation (weight of the turbine which will become a “heart” of the power unit is about 200 tons) – has been completed. The next stage includes installation of external combustion chambers, piping, installation of auxiliary equipment and preparation for start-up.
At the production facility of INGC LLC in Perm, a production of 4 sets of inlet air filter units and air ducts for PGU-900 combined-cycle plant developed by the company’s design bureau has been completed. The design of an inlet air filter unit has three floors, air intake is made from three sides; weight of the inlet air filter unit is more than 100 tons and weight of the air ducts is more than 110 tons; and dimensions of the inlet air filter unit exceed 12 x 20 x 10 meters. The inlet air filter unit is an important part of the process chain ensuring the efficient operation of the power-generating unit.
Kashirskaya GRES has become a site for implementation of the important national project for modernization of the power equipment and construction of a new power-generating unit – a combined-cycle plant (PGU-900) with the first Russian GTE-170.1 high-power gas turbine manufactured by Power Machines JSC. This project is a significant progress in the development of the national energy industry.
